Hello,

I have the Maximus V Formual which has the Intel Z77 chipset. I just did a clean install of Windows x 64Bit.

Sadly I did NOT discover much drivers on Asus website, in particular the SATA drivers for the Intel SATA Controller. In device managing director I have listed nether IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers category the following iii entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

Without the proper driver, performance and functionality is express, right?

Whatsoever suggestions where I can download the Intel SATA Driver for Windows 10?

Did you install Windows in AHCI mode equally the right controller drivers will not install.

Yea, I did install in AHCI mode. But in Device managing director simply SATA Standard SATA AHCI Controller listed. Should it not list some blazon of Intel entry?

I really appreciate your help! When I first posted a few days dorsum in device manager I had listed under the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

I went to ASMEDIA website and downloaded their latest SATA Drivers and at present under the Storage Controllers heading I have the following three entries: 2 Asmedia 106x SATA Controllers and 1 Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller.
Now nether the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading I merely have Ane entry instead of the original 3: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

I had opened a support ticked with ASUS tech support and this is the response I received:

Give thanks you for your patience. I have received respond from the concerned team. We request you to download the Intel SATA drivers straight from the Intel website.

So jut to understand correctly... The Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver is NOT the SATA driver? And the SATA driver already installed when I installed the Intel Chipset driver?

Yep that'southward correct the intel sata commuter installs with the chipset driver and you lot don't demand to install the intel rapid storage technology driver, I don't install it either. You can use it with a unmarried drive only I remember it's used more than with raid.

I had to reinstall windows 10, so this time around im not installing the Intel Rapid Storage Applied science controller. I have it, it's the same with the Asmedia SATA driver too?
